EAS Completes Passive House with Zero Energy Design

One of the most energy efficient houses in the country, this project required ultra-efficient PH-certified windows while staying within a budget. Designed by Zero Energy Design (ZED), one of the premier architectural firms specializing in modern green architecture with exceptional energy performance. This Passive House certified project used the utra efficient SCHUCO SI82+ PVC tilt-turn window design with a custom glass package of R-10 triple pane glass (U-value=0.10) with a high solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC=0.60). This project also made use of the SCHUCO tilt-sliding door design, the most energy-efficient sliding door mechanism on the market.

Best Windows in America

European Architectural Supply offers some of the best windows in North America in wood, uPVC and aluminum. With a U-Value of 0.07 (R-14) our triple pane glazing ranks at the top of the energy efficiency charts, and when combined with our double gasket heavy frame, you just cannot find a better window. And this is just the beginning of the great list of features that distinguish our products in the North American fenestration market.

To the Architect

We offer fully custom products with a strong aesthetic appeal and unparalleled energy performance. We work closely with architects to design fenestration products that match their design intent. Every project is handled on a one-on-one basis and we often work on implementations that are trully unique to the needs of a particular project. This may involve custom hardware solutions, historic architectural details, out-of-reach motorized operation, specialty glass, or unusual shapes and sizes. Our in-house CAD capabilities and large format printing enable us to prepare documentation in both printed and electronic CAD formats. Collaborating in CAD enables the architects to incorporate our products into their designs with a great level of accuracy, resulting in elevation and cross-section drawings which are unambiguous to the building contactors.

To the Interior Designer

We manufacture our products in a wide range of wood species and finishes. We offer 20 stain options for clear finishes and almost 2000 paint color options. Split interior/exterior finishes are also available. Windows and doors can be combined together in a variety of mulled options for exceptional architectural detail. We offer a variety of premium hardware options in collaboration with Rocky Mountain Hardware and others. We also offer a wide range of fully custom wrought iron products resulting in trully unique designs.

To the General Contractor

All of our products come pre-finished and delivered directly to your jobsite. Our team takes great pride in our strong communication with the GC. Communication begins before manufacturing and we visit the job site frequently after the delivery to make installation go smoothly. When problems occur we are available to make sure issues are quickly resolved. One EAS representative will be assigned to your project and will always be available for any questions or concerns.
