Screens

Screens Quality Materials and technology used
EAS screens are aesthetically pleasing and custom-built using the best technology and materials available. Many manufactures will create the profile of their screen frames by molding or bending the aluminum. This method jeopardizes the integrity of the aluminum. EAS uses only extruded aluminum for our frames. Extrusion is the process IN which raw aluminum is pushed through a die to create the frame profile. Creating frames with heavy-gauge, fully-extruded aluminum ensures greater strength and durability.

Colors and Finish
EAS offers several frame colors to match or complement your home.
  • White
  • Black
  • Bronze
  • Troy
  • Brushed Nickel

The color added to your screen is decorative and also protects the aluminum. Our screen are not simply painted. The aluminum is colored by powder coating or by anodization. Our powder coat is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the aluminum. The aluminum is then placed in an oven and the powder particles melt and coalesce to form a continuous film. A “Thermosetting powder” is used. Thermosetting powder will not re-melt upon reheating. During the curing process (in the oven) a chemical cross-linking reaction is triggered at the curing temperature and it is this chemical reaction which gives the powder coating many of its desirable properties.

Screen Options
EAS offer 5 varities of screens

  • Fiberglass Mesh, standard screen
  • Termoscreen T-1, mesh which acts as a sun screen as well as being more resistant to pets
  • Termoscreen T-2, heavier duty than T-1
  • Pet Screen
  • Aluminum 1-A1

Where Termoscreen is used, it acts as a sun-screening barrier as well as being more resistant to pets. Termoscreen will help protect your carpeting, drapery and furniture from the harmful effects of the sun. The screens come in in two densities: T-1 & T-2. Our solar screens will block out the sun’s UV rays and heat. They give great outward visibility and can provide a measure of daytime privacy.
